Adjunct Professor Dr. Thomas Werlen

Dr. Thomas Werlen, attorney at law, was appointed adjunct professor for Financial and Capital Market Law by the Senate of the University of St.Gallen.


Prof. em. Dr. Dr. Martin Killias

Martin Killias (FR-HSG) has been awarded the 2018 Freda Adler Distinguished Scholar Award given by the Division of International Criminology (DIC) of the  American Society of Criminology (ASC). This is the ASC's most prestigious award. 


Bernhard Ehrenzeller to become future President of HSG

The government of the Canton of St.Gallen has approved the election of Prof. Dr. Bernhard Ehrenzeller by the Senate and the University Council as future President of the University of St.Gallen. Bernhard Ehrenzeller is Professor of Public Law at the University of St.Gallen and Director of the Institute for Legal Studies and Legal Practice. He will succeed the current President, Prof. Dr. Thomas Bieger, on 1 February 2020.


New visiting professors

We welcome two visiting professors in the autumn semester 2019:

From the Vienna University of Economics and Business, Dr. Daniela Hohenwarter-Mayr, L.L.M., visiting professor for International and European Tax Law.

From the Insper Institute for Education and Research, São Paolo, Dr. Bianca Tavolari, visiting professor for "Urban law and the new challenges to urban regulation: a comparative and interdisciplinary perspective on AirBnB".
