Vice-President's Board (Research) The Vice-President’s Board’s goals include boosting research and making it more perceptible, so that the HSG continues to enjoy a reputation as a first-class research institution internationally. The Vice-President Research Board focuses on strengthening the research culture at the HSG. Financing and facilitating projects The activities carried out in close co-operation by the Vice-President's Board (Research) and the Research Committee help to put basic research project funding on a broad and solid foundation. The funding options available, due to Switzerland’s participation in the EU Research Framework Programmes, are also to be made use of more significantly in the future. Pushing research In addition to funding, there are also other incentives available to push research at the HSG. The focus is placed on organising and carrying out research-related events at the HSG which are primarily planned by the Research Services. These measures will help the HSG to have a leading role in selected fields of study in the scientific community, the state, business and society. Director of the Vice-President’s Board The Vice-President’s Board (Research) has been led by Prof. Dr. Thomas Zellweger since 1 February 2020.
